Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre PLUS
The Biberach Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre PLUS (ITZ +) offers technology-oriented companies and business start-ups ideal conditions for partner projects between industry and science as well as for successfully developing their companies.
The Center for Innovation, Technology Transfer and Start-up ITZ Plus - award-winning flagship project from the RegioWIN funding period 2013- 2020 - was officially opened on September 22, 2023.
On almost 3,800 square meters, ITZ Plus brings together science and business to work on innovative projects in the fields of biotechnology and energy, as well as related fields of technology, to gain forward-looking knowledge in an era characterized by upheaval, and to transfer this knowledge into application. In addition, the focus is on the targeted promotion of a culture of innovation and start- ups, particularly in the fields of life science, medicine, the environment and sustainability.
With its focus on biotechnology and Biberach University of Applied Sciences at its side, ITZ Plus expands the existing research landscape and fits into the cluster as an ideal partner.
Membership in the BioPharma Cluster creates synergies from which all participants can benefit. For example, project groups, settling in the ITZ Plus, can identify needs and potentials for new manufacturing processes for biopharmaceuticals and tackle jointly the tasks ahead.
In this way, ITZ Plus makes a significant contribution to developing Biberach and the surrounding area into an innovative and sustainable showcase region.
