Together with the University of Ulm, the universities of applied sciences in Neu-Ulm, Biberach, Kempten and Ulm founded the Dual Career Network Swabia (DCNS). The regional network promotes dual-career partnerships and connects science and business in the region. After having signed a declaration of intent in May 2021, the praesidiums and rectorates of the universities now officially adopted the DCNS' guidelines.

The newly founded network closes a blank spot on the dual-career map: Until now, there was no superordinate network for promoting dual-career partnerships in the Neu-Ulm, Ulm, Biberach and Kempten region. Dual-career services support the moving partners or families of new professors, scientists and specialists and managers in a region in finding new jobs and establishing a common centre of life.

Through this cooperation, colleges, universities and companies in Swabia can organize regional services related to the professional placement of accompanying partners more efficiently in the future.

The DCNS expressly invites other institutions from science, business and administration in the region, to join as network partners. For more information about the network and joining, please contact the DCNS coordinator Stephanie Bühren.
